Failure Causes of overlock sewing machine and the Countermeasures(I )

An overlock sewing machine is also known as an edging machine, It is generally divided into three-thread, four-thread, and five-thread. The main function is generally to prevent linting at the sewing head of clothing. The machine can not only be used for edging but also be used to sew T-shirts, sportswear, underwear, knitting, and other fabrics. An overlock sewing machine can cut and sew at the same time. The stitch is like mesh, which is also suitable for elastic fabrics. In the process of use, due to various reasons, it will have one or another fault, so that it can not continue to work.

When these failures occur, a specific analysis shall be made according to the construction principle and service performance of the machine. We should gradually narrow the scope of the inspection, find out the causes as soon as possible, and eliminate them in time. Various common faults and maintenance methods are introduced as follows:

Up bending needle skipping needle 

1. Inaccurate positioning of machine needle and upper bending needle; Readjust the position of the needle and bending needle

2. The gap between the machine needle and the upper bending needle is too large; Readjust the position of the bending needle

3. Wrong relationship between needle and bearded needle; Relationship between high-speed needle and latch needle;

4. Threading error; Re-thread correctly

5. Needle installation error; Reinstall the needle correctly

6. The line control pressure is too strong or too weak; High-speed wire control strength

7. The tip of the latch needle is damaged and the occurs burr; Remove burr or replace it with a new one

8. Needle bending; Change new products

9. The thimble piece is installed incorrectly; Reinstall the ejector pin correctly;

Down bending needle and thread skipping 

1. Overlock sewing machine needle bend or needle tip burr; Replace the needle

2. Incorrect needle direction; Adjust the needle eye direction so that the long slot of the needle is aligned with the operator

3. The needle head of the lower bending needle is not sharp; Grind the lower curved needle or replace it;

4. The wire guard is not aligned; Adjust the position of the thread guard to make the thread guard close to the needle;

5. Inaccurate positioning of needle height; Reposition according to standard;

6. The gap between the lower bending needle and the machine needle is too large; Readjust the clearance according to the standard;

7. Improper selection of needle and suture, too thick needle and too thin thread; Correctly select needle and thread

8. The return amount and height of the lower bending needle are incorrect; Adjust the left limit size of needle and down bending needle tip and the height of down bending needle to meet the standard
