After 1 month of running the overlock sewing machine, primary maintenance should be arranged, the operators should carry out more comprehensive maintenance of the equipment. The primary maintenance work is divided into the following three aspects.
1) External maintenance
Cleaning
The task of this aspect is to clean the outside of the overlock sewing machine comprehensively. Not only the cloth scraps, dust, and oil stains on the surface shall be removed, but also the clamp nuts shall be loosened to remove the cloth scraps and thread ends in the clamp plate. In addition, clean the platen, rack, wire rack, lighting, and other parts.
Check
Check whether the fastening screws on the outside of the machine are damaged or loose. The fastening screws must be tightened, supplemented, or replaced. Check the indicated position of the oil indicator. If the oil is insufficient, add oil in time.
2) Internal maintenance
Cleaning
Remove the lower presser foot and the needle plate, open the baffle, cover plate, and table, and remove the cloth scraps, dust, and thread end clamped in various parts of the machine. Remove the sundries on the filter screen of the oil pump.
Check the smoothness of the oil circuit and oil hole, the firmness of the oil circuit pipe joint, and the working state of the oil pump to eliminate the hidden dangers of oil dripping and oil leakage and keep the oil circuit unblocked. Lubricate and add oil to all oil holes and friction parts without an automatic oil filling function.
3) Motor of overlock sewing machine maintenance
Cleaning
Remove dust and sundries from all parts of the motor.
Check
Check the fixation of the motor, the sensitivity of the switch, whether the wire connection is correct and whether there is damage. If problems are found, special personnel must be notified for repair and replacement.
