The efficiency of an Industrial embroidery machine is often described as being based on its maximum speed. In fact, when the machine switch a larger needle length, the electronic control system will adjust machine's speed.

The maximum and minimum speed determine the speed range of the machine, while the long switching needle determines the reduced speed of the key needle length, because when the desired needle grows longer than the switching needle, automatically lower the speed to adapt to the embroidery frame action in place.
The full servo system is achieved by increasing the maximum speed, minimum speed and changing the length of the switching needle. Traditional way of using stepper motor which drives the embroidery frame of the computer embroidery machine, the maximum speed is generally set at 750 rpm, when the needle grew at 5mm, due to the performance limit, the electronic control system will automatically reduce the spindle speed, to ensure that the embroidery frame has enough time to operate in place. Servo motor, featured by high speed, strong overload capacity, large output torque and so on, is applied to the embroidery frame drive, greatly shorten the time period required for the embroidery frame back and forth movement, which allows the embroidery spindle to maintain high speed operation when using a larger switching needle length, thus improving the efficiency .
Due to the use of servo motors, switching needle length can increase its length to 7mm without slowing down, so that most needle lengths are operating at the highest speed.
