Troubleshooting of Button sewing machine

A broken needle of a Button sewing machine 

Broken needles, regardless of the model of an industrial sewing machine, are mostly due to improper positioning. The causes and remedial measures of the faults are shown in Table 1.

11. If the positioning of the worm is not correct, the machine needle should stop the horizontal and vertical movement before inserting it into the New York hole

12. The swing time and front and rear position of the thread pushing fork shaft are incorrect


12. Adjust the turning crank to the appropriate position (when the needle bar rises and moves 20-21mm from the lowest position, the thread pushing device rotates backward) (GJ4-2 type)


Skipping stitch of Button sewing machine 

The fault of needle skipping can be found in the principle of thread hooking. Once the cause is found, it is not difficult to eliminate the fault. The fault causes and troubleshooting of needle skipping are shown in Table 2

Removal Methods

1. The front and rear clearance between the needle and the hook is too large


1. Adjust to 0.05-0.1mm


2. The needle bar is too high


2. Press the needle bar to position and readjust


3. Thick needle and thin thread or thick needle and thin thread


3. Select needle and thread according to sewing material


4. The needle is bent, deflected or the needle handle is not inserted into the bottom


4. Replace the needle and reinstall the needle


5. The timing of thread hooking is too early, and the needle jumps on the right


5. Adjust the thread hooking time to hook the thread after the needle throws out the thread loop


6. The timing of thread hooking is too late, or the acceleration time of thread hook is too late, and the needle jumps on the left


6. Readjust according to the standard


7. The position of the button clamp is incorrect, and the hole of the machine for the button clamp has deviated

8. The button clamp pressure is small or the three claw pressing material is uneven, and the sewing material floats up and down with the needle


8. Increase the button clamp pressure and adjust the three claws to press the material evenly


9. The machine needle touches the buttonhole

10. The hook shaft is loose in front and back
