Common fault of Button sewing machine: broken thread

Generally, there are fewer failures of the button sewing machine than other sewing equipment, it is easier to analyze the causes if there are failures. For some machine transmission faults, they can be eliminated according to the mechanism principle, positioning standard and adjustment method. The following is a discussion of the faults caused by the frequent use of the machine.

Broken thread is one of the most common faults of button sewing machine. There are many reasons for the fault, its symptoms are also different. The causes and troubleshooting of common broken wire faults are shown in table 8-3 and table 8-4.

1. The thread is of poor quality and has no tension

7. The middle clamp is too tight or the first clamp is opened too late (cross line break)


7. Adjust the pressure of the middle clamp and the opening time of the first clamp


8. The line at the transmission pole is bent


8. Increase the take-up amount and adjust the transmission rod


9. There are rust spots or burrs on the wire hook


9. Polish with fine sand or replace with new wire hook


10. There are burrs in the needle baffle or needle plate hole


10. Polish and deburr with fine sand


11. The swing width of needle bar is improper


11. Adjust the swing width of the needle bar according to the standard


12. When the thread hook hooks the thread, wipe the needle, causing the thread hook to hook on the outside of the needle

12. The stroke of the thread management adjusting hook is too small


12. Adjust the stroke to 8-12mm
