What is "embroidery lining"? Why do we use embroidery lining?

Embroidery lining can be logically divided into two main types: "underlays" and "face lining".

"Underlining" is a special material (usually non-woven fabric), which is used to place under the embroidery piece to make the cloth more stable. The embroidery underlay prevents the fabric from wrinkling, stretching, and deformation after embroidery and washing.

The "face lining" is placed above the embroidery piece. Embroidery surface lining is a special material designed to prevent embroidery thread from "getting stuck" in the fabric. If you want to make the embroidery pattern more "upright", you can also pad a layer of "face lining".

Several common embroidered linings 

1. Paper padding: it is convenient. After embroidering, you can tear off the surplus. It is convenient and firm.

2. Fusible Interlining: It looks like a plastic film and has a good feel. It is suitable for most fabrics. After being embroidered, it can be removed with a hot iron.

3. Coldwater dissolving lining: it can be dissolved with water at normal temperature, which can make the embroidery feel soft overall, but it is easy to be affected by dampness, and a small area of embroidery can be used.

4. Water-soluble non-woven lining: similar to cold water soluble lining, but it can be dissolved only by soaking in warm water. It has strong stability and similar characteristics to cold water soluble lining.

How to store embroidery lining?

Many computerized embroidery linings look very similar, but in fact, there are differences in weight. Therefore, it is a good idea to keep the original packaging for storage or store it in a plastic bag clearly marked. Here is a list of some information to be marked on your bag:
